Our Colonial Heritage

We will begin the new six weeks by discussing our colonial heritage.  We will be using what we've already learned about explorers and Native Amerians to build onto our lessons.  We will travel across the Atlantic with the Mayflower, build the first settlement at Jamestown and learn how the colonies developed from the north and south.  From thirteen to one...we will learn how our country was begun!!!

Heart Walk

Remember tomorrow is the school wide Heart Walk.  Students will be walking 1 mile around Vista. We are asking students to bring $1 for the walk and to wear red.  All money collected will be donated to the American Heart Association.  Parents are welcome to bring $1 and join us in the walk as well.  We will be starting the walk at 1:30 pm.  Please remember to put your student in comfy sneakers for the walk.  We will post pictures of the walk and some of the 3rd graders participating over the weekend.
